Daphney Matshidisho Thoka

Title: How to Integrate ICT When Introducing English as First Additional Language in the Foundation Phase.
 Daphney is a foundation phase teacher who saw the importance of effective language transition from home language in grade R-3 to English as additional language in grade 4.In her project she developed songs and rhymes for kids to listen and mime, adverts and small downloaded videos for kids to imitate, created English stories for kids to translate in Sepedi and downloaded pictures with the English words for kids to associate. She created learning classroom activities using PowerPoint.

Title: Extreme Easy
Erika is a CAT and IT teacher. She administered an online learning management system (LMS) that connects teachers with students, administrators and parents across an intuitive, web-based interface. (Edmodo).In a controlled environment appropriate for school ,online learning conversation within the class was facilitated. A cost effective platform which is easy to use and connects educators and facilitate file sharing and communication online making learning and teaching easy. The LMS system record, submit assignments, activities, tests and examinations result making teaching and learning enjoyable.

School: Toronto Primary - Mankweng, Limpopo

Title: Using Computers and Whiteboards to Instil the Love of Maths in Foundation Phase
Kedibone is a foundation phase teacher. In her project kedibone instil the love of mathematics in foundation phase and reduced the stigma that mathematics is challenging. She uses different maths programs that are interesting to learn and delivers through the interactive white board. She makes learning fun and enjoyable in classroom and kids participate using the interactive whiteboard. Group activities are done on the computer and kids learn basic computer skills. Her project disrupts mathematical attitude and learners gets interest in the subject at the foundation phase and up.

Lindiwe Ngwenya

School: Zonkizizwe Secondary School - Katlehong, Gauteng
Title: Gems in Zonke
Lindiwe is a grade 10-12 English educator. In her Gems in Zonke” project she created and maintained online platforms (YouTube channel, Facebook Page and Twitter page) that report news and positive developments in the school community. Due to social ills that plague the school community such as violence, gangsterism, substance abuse and teenage pregnancy, positive developments and good news from the school were overshadowed. The platform showcased learners' knowledge, creativeness, skills and talents while also exposing them to opportunities.

Mokhudu Machaba

School: Ngwanamago Primary - Ngwananamgo, Limpopo 
Title:    Creating Content Using Apps
Mokhudu incorporated different applications in developing digital content. She gave home language as first preference and core for language development .The content developed was used in classroom for learners to stimulate their reading abilities and communication skills. Learners leant activities, listened to the build content while visualising and then created their own stories

Title: Using ICT to Execute Managerial Skills at My School


Mandy is a school principal. Her project was triggered by the need for school data back-up after a neighbouring school was touched by protesters and lost vital information. She mentored SMT and educators in SA SAMMS to execute administrative and curriculum matters for reliable external back up for all information captured. She facilitated the use of emails and WhatsApp for communication with stakeholders at her school.
